I can hardly give up the reproduction of the last two octaves, those that with the woofer located as close as possible to the floor, propagate from the bass and envelop you, sometimes gently sometimes with energy, vibrations that strongly contribute to the involvement and warmth of listening. The T10S is a professional active subwoofer, designed to complement the speakers of the T series and not only, in fact, as you can easily guess, it allows you to extend the low frequencies of any nearfield studio monitor, taking charge of it. Once we get to about 96db with crossover on 80 the big Adam brother unleashes it's power, everything that's below 10g starts sliding in the room and behind my neighbours wall, at this volume I've got numerous complaints and got reported to city council for being noisy. With my A7s and in my room, the extra depth made for a more complete monitoring experience and the sub behaved perfectly without drawing attention to itself — I could hear no port noise, rattles or mid-range mumblings. The only caveat is that the lower your monitoring system goes, the more the sound is impacted by imperfect room acoustics, but at least having a separate sub enables you to move it around to find the placement that gives the most even bass.

In terms of experience and valuable information when making music, the ADAM Audio T10S performs very well, a nice deep low and especially in combination with the T5V, T7V or the new T8V Studio monitor. It has the low-end rumble--the stuff you can't hear but feel-- as well as a decent sound on the audible bass. I can't stop smiling at the sonic results, it makes no sense that they cost as little as they do, the only cost-saving I could mention is the tiny amount of negligible hiss from the Class D amps, but it's not an issue in actual use whatsoever.Often users have their sub set way too loud, but the right way to set it is so that when you hit the footswitch to compare the sound with the main speakers on their own, all you miss is that lower octave — there should be no extra sense of loudness at the bass end with the switched sub in, just a sense of more depth.
