It isn't exactly a classy scent so I would stay away from wearing this to formal events even though if necessary it could fill the role. OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, office, business, casual, holidays, vacations, romantic, dating, clubbing. It is a masculine fragrance yet, it has a sweet, spicy, intriguing, leathery scent to it that I just loved on my skin.

When I first tested the fragrance I often had to get closer to the sprayed surface because of the bad sillage and durability and then I got headaches quickly.

La nuit de l'Homme from YSL is kinda sorta in the same ballpark, though it lacks the booziness of CH Men Prive.

Top notes are Whiskey, Grapefruit and Pomelo; middle notes are Cardamom, Lavender, Sage and Red Thyme; base notes are Leather, Tonka Bean, Woody Notes and Benzoin. All other accents blended very well and compliment those really dark tones, it has pretty high "unique" factor. Well, I've finally been able to test this fragrance well and hope not to hurt feelings with my review, which promise to be honest and the result, in part, a small disappointment.

Its opening is fresh and boozy, because of grapefruit and whiskey, at this stage I feel it in an Aramis Black style, then it becomes creamy and woody, very elegant and with a subtle handling of the leather note. I think this cologne best suits bar/lounge type of enviroment and will do you wonders on a date night.
