I receive an unwieldy number of private messages. I am happy to respond to messages posted on open forum but am unable to respond to private messages, seeking advice, when the substance of that message should properly be on the open forum.

I have received a notice of intention to prosecute for speeding - the problem is I have never been to the place where they say I have been speeding and at the time 8:13 and that date... I was in bed at a friends house.... If you’ve never been the registered keeper, write to DVLA to ask for proof that you’re not the registered keeper. Give them as much information about the vehicle as possible. Datasearch Services Ltd/Michael Isaacs - fined for gaining pers details of debtors by using AI voice changing software to impersonate debtors to their debt owners The CTO will not do anything, I have been into and rung the Police and they say there is nothing they can do... what do we do now..... The only interpretation permitted on this post (or any others I may have made) is that this is what I would personally consider doing in the circumstances discussed. Each and every reader of this post or any other I may have made must take responsibility for forming their own view and making their own decision.

Don't take things personally - nobody is out to get you - sad as it is to say so, just don't rely on the police to act in a co-ordinated efficient/appropriate manner. Even better - include the details of your visit to the police station in your letter of response. If you have the collar/number and/or name of the person you spoke to, mention that also. If not, a description of him & the time, date & place of your visit will cover it. That bit is totall hogwash. A VRM is not personal data unless and until it is cross referenced with another database such as that maintained by DVLA. You cannot do this so the data protection act does not apply.
