About this deal

I think you are entitled to compensation for being denied boarding for the LHR to CPT flight as follows: It’s been a while and I thought people might be interested in what happened. This is still unresolved. BA ignored my (registered delivery) letters for 3 months and so the case is now with CEDR. I've set a pretty aggressive beginning to my next TP accrual period beginning in August 2023, with some domestic USA travel on AS, plus a RT SEA-LHR-GVA in First long haul, plus CE on the LHR-GVA-LHR segments beginning in early Sept. and ending the beginning of Oct. Counting this already-reserved travel, I should have around 740TPs by early October 2023. Also where at LHR were you when you were denied boarding? Did BA display at any point the following message per:

Pioneering aerodynamic engine testing is powering the development of the UK’s next-generation supersonic stealth combat aircraft, Tempest. So I believe you were denied boarding at LHR for your CPT flight. You should have been entitled to a duty of care and should have been fully informed of your rights. I guess BA will state that you were informed as they eventually rerouted you via JNB however per Article 4 BA should have called for volunteers first before denying you boarding. I would ask for evidence that this happened. b) by three hours, in respect of all intra-Community flights of more than 1 500 kilometres and for all other flights Cost is of some but not incredible concern. I have Avios so I could take a one-way or even RT award positioning flight(s) if need be. Since GVA has a lot of EZ Jet and other low-cost flights, I'm assuming that GVA is not a prohibitively expensive place to be originating such an itinerary, however. I’m not sure i understand your last two points? Düsseldorf cancelled the flightplan as we were delayed leaving LHR. If we had left on time, or no more than an hour late then we would have made the flight before the curfew, therefore BA caused the delay and ultimate cancellationHow to prevent this? The one thing you didn’t do is declare yourself as disabled to BA at all stages and have them note this on the booking as soon as you made it. The airline is not allowed to ask the specific nature of your disability but I would mention to them that your disability means a flat bed is required on the aircraft and hence you have booked Business. Legally they are supposed to considet disability and cam mess you around with less impunity. I think therefore that you are entitled to compensation per Article 7 based on being denied boarding at LHR for the CPT flight. I think it should be 50% of EUR600 per passenger per the following: td235 please think seriously about phoning BA to explain your situation and need for them to provide the flat bed you have paid for on your flight home. I don’t know if this will be your new normal going forward but it is obviously important at the moment while you are still recovering from your surgery. Sometimes you really have to advocate for yourself and `it sounds as if you can’t really afford to run the risk of BA trying to downgrade you again. As Lady London says, you do not need to provide proof from your doctor, although it probably wouldn’t hurt to carry it.

Passengers denied boarding against their will should be able either to cancel their flights, with reimbursement ofI think someone who booked on say the Faro flight that was cancelled at T-355 using Avios and is a teacher so can only go in the school hols and so wants to be rebooked for a weekend in August would stand a good chance in front of a judge, seems pretty reasonable

In determining the distance, the basis shall be the last destination at which the denial of boarding or cancellation will delay the passenger’s arrival after the scheduled time. Engineers from leading combat air industry partners, including Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems, are leveraging advanced manufacturing processes to produce uniquely designed engine components that contribute to the aircraft’s stealth capabilities. We need a test case where someone challenges this state of affairs as BA would be nuts not to exploit this. I'm looking for suggestions as to what I might do over the course of a week, probably best in either early Sept. (around the 7th) or at the end of my trip, which would be essentially the last week of Sept. I'd prefer not to do multiple trips ex-GVA, scattered throughout Sept., since I'll be spending most of my time on this trip 2.5 hours drive away in France. Much easier on long haul given the potential complications and restrictions ( and purpose of trip such as to attend an annual event or travel in a particular season) someone might have to rearrange a longhaul trip with all that could be involved, after an airline cancels a booked flight.
