About this deal

Choose an SPF number based on length of time in the sun and the intensity of the sunlight, which increases with factors such as latitudinal proximity to the equator, the higher the sun is in the sky, summer season and closeness to reflective surfaces. SPF30 lets about three per cent of UVB rays through; SPF50 about two per cent. If in doubt, try liberally re-applying with an SPF water spray such as Vichy Capital Soleil Solar Protective Water SPF30 Hydrating, with its lightweight and hyaluronic acid-enriched formula. We all want fast application and absorption, which is why sometimes we like the convenience of a face mist sunscreen. That's not what you get here, but saying that, the formula does absorb faster than a cream, and doesn't pill under makeup, another beauty bugbear. To help you choose which one you should be slathering on, we've rounded up the best moisturisers with SPF. Best moisturisers with SPF at a glance:

Forget everything you thought you knew about sun protection products! This non-greasy and lightweight gel serum delivers hydration, whilst also protecting against UVA and UVB rays. So, if you're staying in the sun for a prolonged period of time it's better to apply sunscreen with high SPF. What SPF should I use on my face? Something I really dislike about this product is how strong the scent is. It's not an unpleasant scent but I do find it too strong for my face. I wish it was much more subtle. Moisturisers penetrate the skin, refreshing it by hydrating it and adding moisture, while sunscreens sit on the skin to act as a defence mechanism between your face and the sun- think of it like a blanket stopping the harmful rays from your skin.

How to Use

People with dark skin are relatively more protected from UV radiation due to melanin, so, wearing a sunscreen with SPF 15 to 30 is likely to be sufficient. As dermatologist Dr Beibei du Harper explains: "Any product with SPF will provide some degree of protection against UV radiation which contributes to skin cancer, sun damage and skin ageing. Apply 20 minutes before heading outside and reapply every two hours (more if you are swimming or sweating).

It doesn't leave a white cast like some suncreams can, and is suitable for all skin types including sensitive and oily. Inside the formula are different weights of Hyaluronic Acid fragments. What that means is the smaller molecules of HA sink deeper into the skin, the larger ones then sit closer to the skin's surface to hydrate on many levels, this is pretty great for sunscreen.Quench your complexion and give it much-needed UV protection with La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 AquaGel, a lightweight daily moisturiser for all skin types, which offers SPF30 defence for healthy, radiant skin.’’ - Kate, Escentual Beauty Team. But never fear, because you can combine two steps in one with the best moisturisers with SPF, whether that's a cream, gel or tinted moisturiser with SPF.

The SPF you should use will vary on your skin tone and may even change depending on the season. In the winter our skin can be chapped and dry, so you may decide to go for a deeper moisturiser with SPF in it. Also if you are pale then it's best not to go below factor 30 if you want to avoid getting sunburn. Best moisturiser with SPF for mature skin: Nivea Cellular Expert Lift Pure Bakuchiol Anti-Age Day Cream SPF 30Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme agrees saying: "A lot of patients are looking to simplify their skincare routines, so this is a great way to reduce the number of steps in your morning routine, without sacrificing any efficacy." However, you should be aware that this gives you some serious glow. If you like the look of Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Glow Filter or MAC’s Strobe Cream this will be right up your street- but if you overdo it, you’ll risk looking a bit sweaty.
